Knowledge Brings Hope!

Where does knowledge come from? Do you consider yourself to be knowledgeable? What are you knowledgeable about? Where does your knowledge come from? Do you read a lot of things? Have you studied to gain your knowledge? Let me tell you what God taught me about how knowledge brings hope.

I have found that the source of true knowledge is God. I have found also that knowledge begins with God or should I say the fear of Him. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7 (ESV) and “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;” Proverbs 2:6 (ESV) It also talks about a heart condition that brings about knowledge. “An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” Proverbs 18:15 (ESV) His creation is a source of knowledge. “Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.” Psalms 19:2. (ESV)

I have also learned to love discipline because in it here is knowledge. “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.” Proverbs 12:1 (ESV) I also know that we are destroyed for the lack of knowledge. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.” Hosea 4:6 (ESV)

I pray that you will join me in seeking knowledge by beginning to fear the Lord. In doing so you will gain knowledge because God will provide it to you in that there is hope. Hope that a good God is always there to provide my every need.  We need to be decisive in the fact that God loves us so much He sent His Son Jesus that we might have eternal life.   In doing so you will find the only true source of hope. Remember though that all sin is forgivable except the sin of unbelieve in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the cross satisfied the penalty for my sins and yours as well. It satisfied all my sins from the past, in the present, and in the future. My penalty and yours were satisfied on the cross by the death of Jesus, God’s greatest act of love and wrath, who became sin for me and you. It was also God’s greatest act of faithfulness because “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (ESV) Because wisdom shows us, we need to believe in Jesus. I hope that you join me in helping others to choose Jesus.
