Jesus Brings Hope!

Did you celebrate Christmas? Did you exchange presents? Did you celebrate the birth of Jesus? Have you received the greatest Christmas gift ever? Let us look at what God has taught me about how Jesus t brings hope.

I have found over many years in my life during the good times and the bad times and the normal times that there has only been one real source of true hope. I have looked for hope in my work. It was not there. I looked for hope in my marriage, though it was good, hope was not there, I looked for hope in politics but it was not there. Everywhere I looked for hope it was not to be found except when I looked for hope in Jesus.

When I looked at Jesus for hope I found first that Jesus is the only way back to God and eternal life. John 14:6 says, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (ESV) I found that Jesus was the only source for truth about who God is Jesus John 14:9 says, “Jesus said to him, ‘Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the

Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” Jesus is the source of life. Ephesians 2;1-2 says, “And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience” This is what gives me hope. I have a path back to a right relationship with God, a know the truth that sets me free and I have life everlasting.

I pray that you too will also find your hope which can only be found in Jesus.  Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection is my only source of true hope and it should be yours as well.  The death of Jesus Christ on the cross satisfied the penalty for my sins and yours as well. It satisfied all my sins from the past, in the present and in the future. My penalty and yours was satisfied on the cross by the death of Jesus, God’s greatest act of love and wrath, who became sin for me and you. It was also God’s greatest act of faithfulness because “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (ESV) Because wisdom shows us, we need to believe in Jesus. I hope that you join me in helping others to choose Jesus.
