Brothers and Sisters Bring Hope!

Have you ever needed someone to come around during difficult times? Have you needed them to encourage you? Have you needed them to pray for you? Have you even needed them to shelter, feed, and clothe you? Let me share with you what I learned about how brothers and sisters bring hope.

My brothers and sisters in Christ have been a great source of hope to me when I have gone through difficult times like the one, I am in right now. It is my Christian brothers and sisters who rallied around me. I have a couple who are currently providing me with a place to live. I have others who have helped pay for my immediate financial needs. I have lots of them who have provided me with encouragement and have supported me with prayer. All these things are how I believe God intended the Christian family to work. It is one of the ways in which God shows His love for us in that we love one another.

I believe it has been God’s intent to ask His people to step in and help one another. In a previous blog in November of 2021 entitled “Helping Others Find Hope After a Tragedy!”,  I list several one another commands that God has given us through the New Testament. In my past tragedies and my current one, many of my brothers and sisters have taken note of these commands and have come along side of me. Their response to different tragedies in life has always brought me hope. Their actions demonstrate how God is with me and is going to provide and get me through everything. I believe this type of care has always been God’s plan. He uses individuals to accomplish His will in the lives of others. God’s word tells me that He loves me and cares for me and the actions of brothers and sisters in Christ also are part of God’s way of showing me that He loves me and cares for me.

If you have never experienced the kind of caring that brings hope from somebody else, could it be that you are not yet part of God’s family. If so, do you want to join His family. It is easy to join. Here is how.

I pray you that when you need hope your brothers and sisters in Christ rally around you and deliver hope as God has instructed them to do. I also pray that you will rally around those brothers and sisters in Christ when they need hope. Depend upon them because they are true. God cares so much for you, even in your relationship with God through Jesus, promises to change you. It is that relationship that solves the problem of sin and brings us hope in the present and the future. I would also encourage you to seek Jesus for He is the only opportunity there is to have eternal life. This is to me the greatest source of hope. In doing so, I believe we will have hope and joy in our everyday lives. Understanding how Jesus Christ grants us access to eternal life, allows us to live in hope. “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” John 17:3 (ESV) At the same time understanding you will live eternally knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ will also bring you the greatest hope. Because of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross satisfied the penalty for sins. His payment satisfies all my sins from the past, the present and in the future. My penalty and yours was satisfied on the cross by the death of Jesus, God’s greatest act of love and wrath, who became sin for me and you. It was also God’s greatest act of faithfulness because “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (ESV) Because holiness shows us, we need to believe in Jesus. I hope that you join me in helping others to choose Jesus.
