Nature Brings Hope!

What do you think of when you see a majestic mountain? What do you think of when you see a bald eagle soaring overhead? What do you think of when you see a mighty lion? How about the stars in the sky on a clear night or a hummingbird suspended in midair as they flap their wings? Let me tell you about what God taught me about how nature brings hope.

I am currently in Jackson Hole Wyoming to look at God’s creation and relax and unwind. I cannot think of many things that brings me hope than to spend time in nature and see God’s handy work. Psalms 19:1-6 says,

The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words,
whose voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun,
which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
and its circuit to the end of them,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

As I look at God’s creation I see Him everywhere. It speaks to me of His greatness, His Love, His provision, His promises, His sovereignty and many other attributes. It is by seeing God in his creation that I see hope. I see hope because my God is greater than everything else. He was able to speak, and the world was created. He spoke and man was created. So, as I view His magnificent creation, I see my God who can do all things. In that there is hope.

I pray you will see God in nature like I do and it too will bring you hope.  Hope because we know we will be blessed by Him always and hope because we know that His victory over the evil in the world will be complete. Understanding Jesus is the only source of true hope. The death of Jesus Christ on the cross satisfied the penalty for my sins and yours as well. It satisfied all my sins from the past, in the present, and in the future. My penalty and yours were satisfied on the cross by the death of Jesus, God’s greatest act of love and wrath, who became sin for me and you. It was also God’s greatest act of faithfulness because “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (ESV) Because wisdom shows us, we need to believe in Jesus. I hope that you join me in helping others to choose Jesus.
